The Truth about Construction Management
Many of the larger home building companies in the Lakes Region and for that matter the state are called Construction Management Companies.
What does this mean?
It means that they don't actually do the work, they oversee the process from an office or trailer similar to commercial construction. If you would be satisfied with the results of a commercial contractor for your new lakefront home or remodel, read no further.
The realities in construction management are poor control over inexperienced subcontractors, poor communication through lack of continuity in site supervision, low bid subs with little or no high end experience being hired to offset large companies overhead.
Most homeowners would not know the difference between practices used by production crews vs. the crews of a builder who not only start the home but also finish it. Techniques used in flashing, window and door installation and other critical detail applications are often bypassed or butchered by subs trying to complete within budget.
Imagine the care of a carpenter framing walls that he will eventually be putting finish material on, as opposed to someone who will never set foot on the site once the framing is done. I have been involved in the construction of high end homes in the Lakes Region for over 15 years and have seen both sides of the construction process. After working as a site manager with my own crews, we finally decided in order to continue to grow that we would offer our services to the general public.
It is our commitment to build only the number of homes we can complete with our own resources as to not dilute the process or diminish the quality of the exceptional homes that grace the shores of the Lakes Region in Central New Hampshire.
Please call today, to make the first move towards the quality and excellence that your hard earned money should buy you.
